Policars?

Hi guys, I'm in the process of setting up a BRZ and a WRX. They sound like the lead is dragging and they're full of gravel. Neither of which happens to be true. Are these cars just that noisy or did I screw something up again? Opinions?

Did you run it without ear to start? I usually add lead last.

I started with lube, true and tires. Kinda growly, put the body on and Holy schnikes. It sounds like it's could come apart at any moment. Adding lead made no difference in the sound. It's a pretty hard plastic body, so maybe it is acting like a speaker giving it more mass to vibrate.

So far I just have the Toyota.... Yep it's loud. Sort of an angry chainsaw tone. I'm wondering if there is any clearance between the motor bracket and the interior.
I will be experimenting to get it smoother and hopefully quieter.

I placed a pea size ball of tungsten putty between the motor bracket and the interior tray and reinstalled the body....There is enough clearance. However the putty did reduce some noise when run. The noise seems to me to be gear clash.
