Fly Classic Fixed-Roof Series Rules

Last updated on 2 years ago
The Saw
Here are your rules for this series:

- The legal Fly cars for this series:

Porsche 917K or 917 LH
Porsche Carrera 6
Ferrari 512 Codalunga, and 512 short tails with a roof panel.
Ferrari LM250
Lola T70
Ford GT40 any Mk's
All cars must be fixed-roof coupes.

- You must use the 14k H&R Jack Rabbit motor, and may relieve small amounts of plastic inside the pod, or remove small amounts of paint on the motor to ensure a proper fit without binding of the axles.

- You may use any axles and may convert the front peg axles to a solid axle setup.

- You may use any 1/32 wheel and tire combination front or back that fits under the body with no modifications to the chassis or the body. The wheels have to be stylized in some way or you may use wheel inserts.

- You may use axle spacers and tire wedgies.

- You may use any available 1/32 pinion and spur gears, but you are limited to a 13 tooth maximum on your pinion.

- You may use any bushings for your rear axle.

- You may use any screws and relieve small amounts of the chassis to create body rock.

- You may relieve small amounts of the bottom of the driver's seat or relieve any part of the cockpit to create chassis rock. Don't go nuts. Keep the bodies as stock as possible.

- The body must remain stock with no material being removed for slamming, lightening, or tire fitment. Also, if your model comes with a spare tire you must run it in its stock configuration without lightening or alteration. Running your exhaust pieces, tailights, or bumper bars is required at the start, but if they get broken during the course of the series, you do not have to fix or replace them. There will be latitude for any spats, fins or mirrors that are missing or broken.

- Any non-wood guide flag may be used, and you may use any lead wires.

During the course of the series, there will be no track calls for vehicle repairs. If the track is the issue, the heat will be rerun. Otherwise all repairs must be done under the green flag.

Unlike previous series racing where tech was lax, all top 3 finishers of a race will be teched after each race by the race director (me). My car will be teched by any of the other top 3 finishers.
