Race Recap: Rich drove a smooth race in his NC-2 powered Ninco Seat with no outs. Allen's Fly Lancia 037 left much to be desired, but with no outs ran second. Frank's Fly Lancia 037 handled great, but one out put him 3rd on the leaderboard. Preston had similar trouble with his Fly Renault Turbo 5, running clean until the very last corner, where an out probably cost him one of the top three positions.

Race Recap:
Thanks to everyone for a huge showing! With a total of 14 drivers, the Schlottenhausen Stage Two race saw some new drivers at the top of the leaderboard and less than .8 seconds separated the top 4 drivers. This time Neal logged the fast E.T. in a new Porsche 997 Rally (NC-2). Preston squeezed his Renault into 2nd just in front of Justin's rally debut behind the trigger of that same Ninco 997. The Hammer moved up and solidly into 4th with his smooth running Ninco Subaru and a smile on his face. And, rounding out the top 5 was Frank and his Ninco Fiat Punto. Clean racing with no outs is what they all had in common in the top 5, and seemed to be the ticket on Jim's 71.5 foot Carrera 4-lane. Larry was your big mover, climbing 5 positions to capture the 6th spot. Keep tuning those cars, with 4 Stages to go, there's still time to make your move!

To everyone that was able to reschedule on such short notice for this weekend at Koeller Int'l instead of Al's (Elmhurst) - Thanks for going the extra mile (or maybe 25 or 30 miles). To those of you who couldn't make it, our apologies again for the mix-up . . . we missed you all.
Out of the 11 drivers in attendance, over half had no outs. All I can say is . . . GAME ON. Nice job everyone. The field was separated by just a hair over 7 seconds overall at Koeller Int'l where straightaway speed was critical. This time the Fly Lancia's took 2 of the top 3 spots with Allen in 1st and Frank in 3rd with one out. A rear motor Fly Porsche 911 Rally got sandwiched in 2nd with Preston behind the wheel. Two 4-wheel Subarus also made the top 5 with Ron's SCX in 4th and Kevin's Ninco taking 5th with 1 out (oops!). Jim, Jeff, Ron and Ken all moved up 2 or more spots in the overalls with half the schedule still remaining. Get up on the wheel people and check the overall standings - there's a lot of positions that lead the next driver by 2 seconds or LESS. Think about it, thats's less than a typical deslot.

Race Recap:
First, it was good to see Don racing again and recovering well from his wrist injury - welcome back.

Second, let's talk stats. The racing just keeps getting tighter and tighter. Not counting the DNFs with the 5 second penalty, less than 6.3 seconds separated the 13 drivers in attendance at Al's. 0.618 seconds separated the top 5 - now that's tight. All total there were only 5 outs . . . that's right only 5 outs in 65 combined laps. No out stages were logged by Neal, Frank, Rich, Kevin, Preston, Allen, Jeff, Ken, Gary and Ron. Nice driving everyone! Moving up in the rankings this week were Frank, Neal, Jeff and Rich. With two races to go, the top 4 drivers are still within 2.8 seconds after 4 stages - that's about 1 deslot - it's that close. 11 positions lead the next driver by less than 3 seconds - that means there's still some opportunities to move up in the standings. There's 4 positions that could move up two or more spots by overcoming a less than 3 second deficit. Neal has won two stages, Allen and Rich have grabbed one stage each, but Preston has proven that winning isn't everything as he holds on to the lead again this week by running 2nd, 2nd, 4th and 5th in the first 4 stages.

Third, the Overall Results table has had the cars and manufacturers added, so everyone can see what cars might need to be on your Christmas list.

Race Recap:
As you know, The Lot is a small track at only 27', and so went the attendance on Friday night. With only 8 drivers running this 5th of 6 stages, we were done in a blink. And, with each driver taking less than 20 seconds to complete the 5 lap distance it was great to have a short sprint after running almost 300 laps in the Vintage F1 Series. This time we set up the running order in advance to make things run more smoothly, leaving the current overall leader, Preston, to set the bar as the first driver. Cranking out a 16.619 looked tough to beat and stood up until the last driver. Rich spun out a 16.401 with his NC-2 powered Ninco Seat to win Stage 5. The only other sub 16 time was turned in by Jeff, who seems to be finding his stride with that Ninco Porsche 997. Nice job Jeff! Rich and Gary were your big movers, gaining 3 and 2 positions respectively. Otherwise, the top 6 positions had no changes. One Stage left to go. See everyone at Catalunya!
