Would Sunday be better for anybody?
Ken
Best I can tell the following newer Slot-it Group C cars have the 17x10 rears (although they are calling them 16.5 on their website):

Porsche 962 Shell
Lowenbrau
Coke

Sauber #61 Black/blue/silver Presentation car
Michelin (not real sure about this one)

Jaguar #3 Silk cut mostly white with purple border
Suntec
Ken
Well that makes things easier, I can't make iT, so no worries about which wheels are on my cars.

Hi guys. It would be hard for me to make a Saturday day-time race. Maybe next time.

Ken-I Know it's step on supermans cape-but it was directed towards Gary and as we all know he's always tugging at something (with tweezers):D Sorry but I can't make this race -Have a great time

1. Saturday 1/25, doors open @ 11:00am, racing @ 2:00 sharp.
2. Chicago Riverside Raceway.
3. Beats finding it at the toll booth.

Even though I have been getting rid of most of my non-Meadowdale type cars, I kept the original Slot It 956 Newman car so I think this is a group c thingy so I would like to race in the enduro.

Q1: When is this thing happening?
Q2: Have you picked a track for this to happen at?
Q3: Why does the ATM at my bank's drive through have braille on the buttons?

And ps Mr. Norm, we have a Keurig now so if you want a cup of coffee we don't need to make a pot. I'll be happy to make you whatever you like.
The Saw
I was just using the tire finder function and that's all that it showed for the group c cars that appeared. I had no idea about the new cars having larger diameter wheels. If you have any info on which cars are running what I'd like to know. My preference is that the cars run the original stock wheels that came with the car and the appropriate super tire for that wheel. Thanks in advance for any assistance. I really appreciate it.
Ken
I've seen new cars Gary is unaware of and I can read, neither should be held against me. I just think the playing field should be level. To be honest, I read both tire charts multiple times before I figured it out. Oh, you don't tug on Superman's cape, jesh Norm, not even my generations and I know that.
R
You know,
I'll try to get back from Florida Saturday morning just to go to this race, I will try my best.
Roberto.

three things you never do Gary -Step on Supermans cape,Pee into the wind-and mess with Ken when he has a chart in his hand:o
Ken
All original cars (956, 962, Sauber, Jaguar, Audi) had 15x8 rears, new versions of those cars are all equiped with 17x10 rears. The Super Tires page lists 1400-1405 fitting the 15x8 with a .35 width, and the 1407-1410 fitting the 17x10 with a .40 width. The slot car corner chart shows some rows that are shaded, those rows are tires fitted to "another size" rim. They list the 1400, 1401, 1402 and 1403 in shaded rows for the 17x10 rim. For some reason they don't have the 1404 and 1405 with shaded rows. 1400-1405 are a smaller interior diameter, narrower tire that can be stretched onto a 17x10 rim, 1407-1410 are a larger interior diameter, wider tire.
