Denny and I are hosting Round one of the Group C Series at The Viper's Pit in Plainfield, IL. The support race for the event will be a Fly Early Lemans Six Hour Team Enduro.

Four team captains will be selected manually. The remaining team members will then be selected randomly. Each team member must run an equal amount of time on each lane. Driver changes will be made at pre determined times during each heat. Each team must have at least one member marshaling at all times. Repairs to the cars must be made under green. Cars can only be removed from and placed on the track by a pit person from the car's team in the designated pit area.

The club's "stock" rules will apply. No other changes will be allowed. The cars will be teched before the start of the race (body off).
NOTE: Fly and GB Track Chevrons are not allowed for this race.

We would like to finish the endure no later than 12:00am, so we would have to start at 6;00pm. In order to accomplish this we will have to run the Group C Series race earlier than we normally would. We are currently thinking of starting the series race at 4;30pm. Depending on the number of entries we may have to start a bit earlier. Doors will be open at 12:00pm.

Please RSVP for the series race as soon as possible so we can adjust the times accordingly.
Looking forward to a great night of racing. Hope to see you all.

Make the 2/11 event an early Fly five minute heat daylight BYO warmup race for later team builds.

I'd also recommend taping off a 12" section in an unobstructed area (not in a turn or interfering with a Marshall) where cars need to stop to be picked up for service or stopped for driver changes.

Already covered that Ken.

How about a shorter Enduro and have the Group C race at 7?

I already discussed the safety area with Denny. More than likely it will be on the back straight

Silly question, but how many cars per team for the enduro? Just one? Or can we all run our own cars? If more than one, can I just take my teammates car if mine breaks? Repairs made only under green flag conditions or any time? How will you account for equal driving times per lane? Will there be mandatory changes at "x" minutes, or will it be up to the teams to split it up? Will each team be required to provide "x" number of marshall's per heat? So the whole team doesn't leave the track when a car goes into the pits for a repair. That's just off the top of my head.

Hey Ken,

I updated the announcement and addressed most of your questions. I'm going to have to speak to Denny regarding the number of cars. We were originally thinking just one per team. Earlier today we were talking about allowing a backup. in case of a major component failure. We still have to discuss that further. We'll figure it out later today, and I'll update the post.
