Car Rules

Any 1/32 IMSA Group 5 Car and or Group C car
(Slot.it, Mr. Slotcar, Revell/Monogram, SRC, FLY etc. The slot.it group c cars can be identified on the Slot.it web site.

2016 GLSCC GROUP 5 SERIES

Only cars from 4th generation Group 5 will be allowed.
These were special production cars raced from 1976 to 1982.

Wheels must remain Stock
Manufacturers with plastic wheels may use equivalent (same diameter, or smaller. same width, or narrower) slot.it or CB design wheels with appropriate inserts. If correct inserts are not available from manufacturers, they must be made from stock plastic wheels. 1/16/16
Rear axles must remain stock
*Axles of non slot.it cars may be replaced with solid slot.it axle. 1/16/16
You may:
Install solid front axle
Replace rear tires with silicone
Use low profile front tires
Coat the front tires
True front and rear tires and wheels
Remove front axle slop (up and down and side to side) without modifying the chassis
Add lead
Change braid and lead wires
Glue in motor
Glue in bushings
Create chassis rock, minimal sanding, no chassis mods to sides or post
Glue or tape in motor pod to fix or limit travel
Change body screws
Use motor of choice up to 22,000 RPM
Use any motor configuration
Change motor pod (where applicable)
Use gears of choice, no commercial gears

Group C rules
CAR MUST HAVE RACED IMSA GROUP C

Wheels must remain Stock

Axles must remain stock
PPR tires designed for the stock wheel must be used.
Front tires must remain stock
True tires and wheels
May coat the front tires
Oil and grease as needed
Remove front and rear axle slop (no chassis mods)
Add lead
Change lead wires
Any braid 1/11/16
Replace guide flag 1/25/16
Glue in motor
Glue in bushings
Create chassis rock, minimal sanding, no chassis mods to sides or post
You may glue or tape in motor pod to fix or limit travel
May use motor of choice
Any motor configuration
May use gears of choice, no commercial gears
Axles of non slot.it cars may be replaced with solid slot.it axle.1/6/16

Race Rules

Race will be on long course
Both classes will be run simultaneously.
You may race either Group C or Group 5 car or race in both classes.
No Track Calls except for track conditions
Heat and race distance to be determined by racer response. Goal is for a 3 hour enduro

gary-I noticed you did not include Carrera in your group 5's(the carrera 512 as an example)

Carrera 512BB is a legal Group 5 car. I believe Gary overlooked Carrera but did have ",etc" in his list. I'm running a Carerra 935/78.

Not my chicken, just following current series rules. Now stop acting like an offended little girl, pick up Phil, and get over here on Saturday. Its better than sitting at home pouting and not racing with anybody. You don't have to like who you race with, but it helps.B)

It is my chicken. That was a very difficult choice that had to be made Bob. You see that other 3 generations of Group 5 cars were all driven by men who didn't like the color purple. Denny and I deemed that to be extremely prejudicial and so very offensive that we simply couldn't allow those cars to compete in our series. It just wouldn't have been palatable to us or any of the other club members. Now that you know the horrid truth about the other 3 generations of Group 5 cars, I'm sure you can understand our position. That said, gather up your Gen. 4 cars (you know you have some) and come out to play.

I'd like to defend your offended position Norm.
That is unless you find my defense of your offence offensive.
If that's the case, I have no defense to offer.
