Porker 500 Special Thanks

The Porker 500 is in the books, and I think it was a great success. The food was great and it looked like everyone had a great time. Special thanks to Frank for setting up the event, the venue, and for pushing to get the club track done on time. Thanks to Rebeca for the good food and her help.

I personally had a great time and so did my dad. Thanks to everyone for helping him feel a part of the group and for showing him what a great time our hobby can be. He was telling my mom how he has to buy all these cars now to race with us, and to not expect him to be home much since he is going to be doing more racing...

The disease has spread.... Add one more convert...

Thanks again for a great time.

I'm glad your Dad enjoyed himself Rich. It was great to see Gary's wife, Jason's girlfriend, and some of the locals get a taste too. Thanks again to Frank for working himself tirelessly to get the track done. Neal, Rich, Allen, and Greg for their efforts in finishing the track, Rebecca for putting together all the food, Mike for cooking the pig and making sure we had everything we needed, Drew for putting up with us messing up his shop and letting us use the truck, and to all my fellow members who made it a great day.

Well guys our first club picnic has come and gone, first I would like to thank Pyrate, Rich, Neal (not so much), Allen, and Ken for all the help with the track; I needed that in a big way. And a special thanks to Pyrate and Ded for the use of their tools, And last but not least Thanks to Allen who has gone way past just lending a hand, he has been great with all our artwork we all enjoy from our club logo to helping ken with the shirts. And thanks to all the members that called and offered help but times conflicted.
Back to the picnic, we had about 24 to 26 come out, not all could stay all day but we did get in about 4 races with 18 to 20 racers in each race, I can’t remember who won the races but I do remember that Neal Cheats way bad! The pig was 30lbs and was extra tasty, also we had burgers, dogs, beans, etc.... plus all the goodies too. The weather was good; we had a few clouds come in and out but nothing big. And when I find my picture taking thingy I will post some photos.

Thanks Frank (VooDoo)

I had a great time racing and I thank everyone involved in making this event happen. I look forward to more great racing events.

Best race efver.

Thanks to everyone for their individual contributions that made it a great time to race little plastic cars around a big wooden track.

The pig looks like he had fun too . . . I think he's smiling despite the fact he had his ears cut off and eaten by a dog. OUCH ! Also, based on the severe sunburn, I'd recommend some serious sun block for anyone as fair skinned as him attending future club events.
